A trip to Yalta with the American
Ukrainian sound engineer Sergey Nagorny went to Yalta with his American friend Cory.

Recently, along with the American Corey, I traveled to Yalta. Just three days, but we had a lot to see (and could further). Before that I was in Yalta, only once, in the year 2000, and held it for a few hours. Measles is not something that in the Crimea, but in general in Ukraine for the first time.

It is also the first time he traveled by train. Before the trip, I told him in detail about the different classes of cars and what it means in practice. Corey assured that he is absolutely calm can go to any class. And although we were set to the compartment, to Yalta, we were able to buy only the upper second-class place car.
The train set off at eight o'clock, and at nine they asked us to take their shelves. Corey has not planned to sleep, so I just stood in the doorway for about an hour. Then nevertheless I decided to climb on the shelf. I said that without shoes it will be more comfortable to sleep on it waved, and said that he was fine.
Waking up at night, I noticed that the shoes are already on the third shelf. As a result, Corey almost not sleep all night and was very wrinkled. Glad that we have back in the sleeping car tickets.

As you can see, I do not like cucumber.

Our fellow travelers were an elderly couple. Grandfather constantly groaned and was very proud to be asked to move or hide the window. He just tried to solve all the questions himself.
Who knows, it is impossible to come to Yalta by train. The final destination on the South Coast is the city of Simferopol. Hence our forthcoming trip to Yalta on a trolley bus.

Why I strongly recommend to go to the Crimean trolleybus?
- Crimean trolleybus is the longest trolleybus system in the world (86 km).
- In contrast to the bus, in the bus is much more spacious, he rides safely, without having to travel into the oncoming lane of dangerous mountain roads, and comes not long after a minibus.
- The fare from Simferopol to Yalta is only 12 USD. (1, $ 5).
Especially because the route goes to a lot of new trolley buses Ukrainian production of "Bogdan", a trip that is comfortable.

In addition, it is also a free tour along the southern coast of Crimea.

So we arrived in Yalta, and the first thing they saw - a trolley station.

We got in touch with the owner, who has agreed to stay, and it has caused us a taxi.

When we piled into a taxi, the taxi driver asked where we go. I honestly do not know where, and I thought that the owner said it already (in any case, in Kiev, the destination always said even when ordering).
I called her and heard in the tube "mateldarstan". Some Mateldarstan - I said to the driver. Some a motel? - he asked me.
It turned out the motel "Darsan". But this information did not help the driver, he did not know where this motel. In the end, he got through to the manager and he explained where to go.
The place where we had to spend two nights, it was very nice. The hostess, love, calls his home "Hobbit House". That part of the house in which she lives - small and located in a small recess, can therefore. And there is always cool without air conditioning. I had to take refuge at night.

And in the courtyard just an incredible amount of living creatures!

three large dogs that live here, two little puppy (yet), and about a dozen cats.

So they have breakfast.

And this despite the fact that a very small yard.

But it is very cozy.

And one can see near the hotel.

Well, seals ate. We, too, took a shower, had a bite, and without wasting time, went to the Yalta embankment.

The easiest way - it's just down to her on the road.
Along the way, we go to the memorial of the Second World War.

This is where people gather May 9 in Yalta.

along the track grow laurel bushes.

Cory saw the Black Sea.

Memorial is left behind.

The weather is very to the point. Is about to begin rain.

Meet the cableway. We decided that it will be necessary to use it.

In the meantime, enjoy it more.

And Yalta all frowns.

Why not Italy? Oh yeah, I forgot to say. We kindly agreed to accompany walks a girl named Anfisa.

some unknown fruit.

Here, in 1907-1908 lived the great Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka.

And nobody knows who lives here.

First, a little taken aback to see the palm. Somehow I overlooked that there may well grow these trees.

Normal Yalta house.

Following further for MAIL.

vaguely reminiscent of Prague.

The Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky. It is very unusual to see the Orthodox Cathedral near the palm trees.

In Yalta, irresistible attraction to spirituality!

Once upon a time for me was the discovery that the subways am not in all cities. So I always note this point, being in a new city.

And this is a concert hall "Jubilee". It is here that act Verka Serduchka and Stas Peha.

Next to the hall bizarre busts.

Elaborate lanterns.

And Alley stars! Unfortunately, I do not know who Yuri Bogatikov.

But Alla Pugacheva and Philip Kirkorov at least here forever together!

Then our American friend poplohelo and we sent him home in a taxi.

themselves went to the Embankment. Again, palm trees, on the background of what I do not remember.

The fountain, meets us at the quay.

And here is the Yalta embankment. Very clean place, it's worth noting.

The lighthouse at the entrance to the harbor.

On the waterfront earns plenty of street musicians.

All the familiar restaurant Golden Fleece. An exact copy of the galleys.

It seems the hotel.

Any yaltinets say that in Yalta nowhere to bathe. Then who are these people bathe directly under the restaurant? Are tourists?

A local diver.
