BACKGROUND
Alisa Freundlich was born December 8, 1934 in Leningrad in a family of actors. Father - Bruno Arturovich, film and theater actor, People's Artist of USSR, laureate of Stalin Prize. Mother - Xenia Feodorovna, studied at drama courses for young workers of the Leningrad Theater, worked as a bookkeeper. Shortly before the parents separated WWII. Father with the troupe of the Leningrad Youth Theater was evacuated to Tashkent. Alisa Freundlich with his mother survived the siege of Leningrad (1941-1944), after the war ended in 1945, moved to Tallinn (Estonia) in 1948 returned to Leningrad. In 1957 she graduated from the acting department of the Leningrad Theater Institute.
