Many Americans with a happy look came to the Christmas tree, to discover there hoverboard, Apple watches and toys in the style of "Star Wars." And there are those who can boast that Santa gave them pink antitank rifle, studded with glittering jewels.

The weapon has become one of the most popular gifts in 2015 - its sales before the holidays rose to heaven.

The next day after Christmas, thousands of Americans went to the shooting range to try these "toys" in action.

In one of these polygons - Twin Ponds Rifle Range in Auendo in South Carolina - the lucky owners of brand new pistols and rifles waited for photographer Patrick Hall (Patrick Hall).

In the photo sessions he used a huge American flag as the background and the smoke generator to create the appropriate atmosphere.

The result is a portrait of men, women and children, who are holding a variety of weapons, which can buy in the US without a special permit.

"All those photographed were in utter delight from images and each portrait has its own character ... It is clear that policy on ownership of guns and the Second Amendment to the US Constitution in modern society is a highly debated topic," - says the photographer .

"My goal was not to take these portraits by what any particular side in this debate - I just wanted to make a different group of owners of weapons from different walks of life and how they are enjoying their hobby after Christmas."
