Photographers nature, tend to focus on large objects, so we often lose sight of the beauty and diversity that we can offer the mushrooms. This amazing view of living organisms, amazing variety of shapes and sizes has its own separate kingdom and are neither animals nor plants.
The artist, naturalist, educator and farmer Jill Bliss lives on a small island in the north-west Pacific
In 2012, she sold her house and almost everything she owned to get to the island and reconnect with nature after a hard work as a designer in New York and San Francisco
Using a wide range of beautiful wild mushrooms, which she discovers Bliss turns them into stunning compositions and photographs them for the project, which is called Nature Medleys ( "Natural mosaic")
"I spent my savings on a modest plot of land on a small island with 30 houses to live the remainder of my days in harmony with nature", - says Jill
"My nomadic soul is glad to live in huts with no frills and the Internet on small islands, where I am surrounded by wild animals and semi-wild people, who are my mentors and the Muses"
"For months, I can be in the dormant and quiet contemplation of all that surrounds me, and at other times I read, cook food, prick fire wood, a lot of walking on foot and the arts"
