Photographer Daan Verhoeven - a big fan of freediving (diving apnea). He is able to dive to a depth of 40 meters without the bulky equipment. Of course, apart from the camera, with which he captures images at their mysterious fascinating underwater world. His latest series is very curious: Daan took a unique reaction of people nyrnuvshih in the small pool, the water which has been cooled to only 4 degrees Celsius.

Horse faced with diving in the icy water for diving without scuba gear in the Finnish city of Turku championship. Next to a huge 50-meter swimming pool was another, slightly more than the size of the bath. Daan decided to dive in there, and the effect was overwhelming: his sinuses almost freezed and legs cramp seized when he tried to swim to the surface. Soon these unpleasant feelings changed little dizzy, happy feeling that you are alive, and a pleasant tingling.

After such an extreme diving in Daan inspiration came: he decided to capture the unique reaction of people diving into the icy water.
