Yesterday, during the celebration of the Indian festival in the city of Amritsar Dashara there was a terrible tragedy - the train drove into a crowd of people. According to the BBC, killed at least 60 people and more than 200 people were injured.

Dashara Festival traditionally ends with a large fireworks. To spark the fireworks do not fall into the people, and to better consider the action, many of the participants of the festival decided to move away. It turned out that most of the audience turned out in such a way on the tracks, reports The Times referring to representatives of the Indian railway services. The result none of them had heard the train coming, and the composition of the audience entered, unable to stop.
It is known that about 50 people were killed at the scene, and about ten died later in a hospital or on the way there. It also reported that more than 200 guests of the festival were seriously injured.

Almost immediately, the Minister of Internal Affairs of India Rajnath Singh confirmed in a personal Twitter account the fact of the tragedy, noting that the federal government intends to provide the necessary assistance to local authorities in the aftermath of a terrible accident and rehabilitation of survivors.
