How different rooms of different people all over the world
• How do the different rooms of people around the world
In 2010, photographer John Tekvrey from South Africa embarked on a journey around the planet with a series of works called "My Room". When installing the camera on the ceiling in the room each shooting hero, the photographer captures intimate details of places that are normally hidden from outsiders, and the owners of rooms talking about their lifestyle and culture. What began as a friendly photographing friends in Paris, has turned the whole photo project, which includes thousands of photos rooms of people from 55 countries - from Tehran and Tokyo to New York and Nepal.
John drew attention to the generation of the 80s and 90s across the world. His works demonstrate hopes, dreams, culture and mentality of the people is almost the same age. Photograph shared that at the time when it all started, the shooting was no more than a hobby, an alternative to travel. And as a result the photo project "My room" has blossomed and has become a kind of international travel exhibition with declarations of filming characters.
Thanks to the work of John Tekvreya we can see not only the standard of living in each country, but also the character, likes and hobbies of the owner of the room.
